Coorg State was a Part-C state in India which existed from 1950 to 1956.[1] When the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950, most of the existing provinces were reconstituted into states. Thus, Coorg Province became Coorg State. Coorg State was ruled by a Chief Commissioner with Mercara as its capital.
Irupu Falls

Also known as the Lakshmana Tirtha Falls, this stunning waterfall is a tributary of Cauvery river and is settled along with the Brahmagiri mountain ranges. Harangi Dam

The dam is standing against the Harangue river which is one of the tributaries of Cauvery river. This enormous dam is located at a distance of 9 kms from Kushalnagar town in Coorg and stands as a massive example of Man-made architecture. During the monsoon season in coorg, this dam turns out to be a mystical view to be explored.
